Nothing like leaping into a pool with your clothes on. Sigh. Sometimes, I question my sanity.
This was my last "pre-work" swim, as our new digs won't have a pool (but will have a yard, and thanks to me, a Slip n' Slide). I'm actually very sad about moving. I know I'm not really saying goodbye since I still own the apartment, but I have lived here for three years and I will just really miss living downtown. Like, a lot. It's my home. I love the West End.
But, as my boyfriend says, our current conditions will be temporary and by winter we should be in our new place. One that will also be downtown, preferably in the West End or Yaletown, and though it will probably not have a pool on the roof, it will have a balcony, insuite laundry, allow pets, a den, room to move, a bigger closet and - as my bf added - a Playstation 3. I'll be keeping that goal in mind when I find myself pining for my wee downtown studio this summer.

A new place in a few months? How exciting. That's great that you own your own place. Can't do that here in so Cal-it's insanely expensive even with the crappy economy and housing market situation. Kudos for you :)
