As I was sitting down to a delicious pumpkin pie (and ice cream) being served at my boyfriend's parents house this Thanksgiving weekend, a thought entered my head.
I don't care much for ice cream.
I relayed this information to my bf and his family and was met with faces of shock.
How can you not like ice cream?
Well, I continued, I don't know. It might have something to do with the digestive reprocussions that usually follow but I just don't really ever feel like having ice cream. I don't like cake either.
How can you not like cake?????
Well, it's just too dry and the frosting is just too sweet. However, I LOVE ice cream cake!
Again, I was met with shocked faces. How can you dislike cake and ice cream but love ice cream cake?
I don't know, that's just the way it is. I'm an oxymoron in many ways.
I'm just glad I didn't follow that up with another example: I LOVE giving head but don't care to recieve it.
That probably wouldn't have been very well "recieved" at the dinner table.
Question to you is: what do you do that makes YOU an Oxymoron?

I dont believe in long distance relationships, but I'm in one!!! (although, I'm starting to believe...)
First, I LOVE pumpkin pie AND ice cream cake!
Also, I LOVE meatball sandwiches and beef tacos, but I will NOT eat a hamburger. It's all about presentation and the other goodies that go on top I guess...
We all have our quirks. My friend can't eat eggs if she sees them raw before, but serve her a plate of scrambled eggs and she'll tuck right in!
hmmm...
I don't have any weird food quirks like that.
I'm totally with you on the giving/receiving head thing though.
:)
Lol ya it was a good idea not bringing that up in the dinner conversation. ;)
I don't like ice cream that you buy at the store, but I'd kill for balsamic vinegar flavoured gelato at Casa Gelato. I tried it once, feeling brave, thinking it would be gross and it turned out to be the best thing ever. The same was NOT true for the following gelati:
- Chocolate Chilli
- Red Bean Paste
- Marmite
- Wasabi
I hate drinking milk.
I don't care if it has some flavor (chocolate, vanilla, etc), if it's cold or warm, anything. I hate milk.
Every once in a while I will buy a quart and drink it in a single sitting. Usually one big long drink...
Then I got back to hating it, but for that brief moment, I love drinking milk.
Meg - "balsamic vinegar flavoured gelato"...
Jesus.
Im totally with you on the ice cream thing, I eat it, but would never go out of my way to buy it, its not like a staple in my fridge or anything.
And as weird as it sounds, totally love giving head and not too keen on receiving.... now that is just weird....
i've got all kinds of knowledge stuffed into my head but i hate school. is that really an oxymoron?
anyway, i loved ice cream cake as a kid. it was my absolute favorite.
I love ketchup but don't like tomatos. Oh and I love olive oil but hate olives.
Ice cream cake is my favorite too!
