Secret Sephora Codes and "Sorry Mum!"

Considering the Xmas season is upon us, I figured I would further help out those beauty junkies who are online buying presents. Sephora (which is a great gift site for you men out there who don't know what to get your woman or sisters or mums) has the cutest gift sets, free samples and by entering the following codes while checking out, you can score some awesome free gifts.

The promotion code CIRQUE or CIRQUE2 will yeild you a bag full of goodies (and would make a cool gift for someone too).

The promo code SCENTED2 will give you a choice between deluxe samples of Dr. Brandt's Poreless Face Wash, Makeup Forever Blue Waterproof Eyeliner, Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Scrub, Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer or a huge sample of Dior's Miss Dior Cherie perfume.

Finally, the promo code GORGEOUS (which is only valid after December 26th) gets you a deluxe sample of either Philosophy's Makeup Optional Skincare Pack, Aquolina Pink Sugar Perfume, Fresh Supernova Mascara, Dior Capture Totale Creme or Murad Body Wash.

Sadly you can only use one promo code at a time. But if you are crafty like I am, you can just make several small orders and get all the freebies. Yay!

*Addendum* This just in. Type in the code SUGARCOOKIE and recieve a free 4 oz. Philosophy Powdered Sugar Cookie 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath (while supplies last). That's huge! If you read my other blog you may notice that the sample is of the Travel Wonder Product I blogged about here.

****

Whilst in Mexico and updating my blog on the boat, my mother became more and more interested in my blog. Now, she doesn't read my blog yet....but she might. Because she wants to read up on my life and such as I go to Scotland and Paris and whatever (and I think she likes the minor fame that comes with being mentioned in the blogs) she begged me to give her the address of my other blog, the travel one.

Now, I have a link to this blog from that blog but since she is so completely computer and internet inept I don't think she knows what links are or realizes what they can do. However, I said that about DVD's and digital cameras before and she has surprised me. So therefore there is a chance that she can get to my blog. Which sucks cuz this was my last sacred ground where I could do things without them knowing. Such as ordering obscene amounts from Ebay and Sephora.

Regardless, in case she does comes across this, she is gonna freak out since I published a not so flattering photograph of her in the previous post (but hey, I don't look so good either...it looks like I have no boobs. Seriously!).

To make amends I have published much better photos of my mum below. This is what she looks like when she's not stuck on a boat in Mexico:

Despite my hair going from long to short, these photos were taken only days apart, last Xmas.

Yes mum, you are welcome.

ooo, I don't have anyone I know in rl reading my journal. There IS one person but she was a pen pal for 12 years before hand and since we were so bad at emailing and writing I shared the blog.

In that case, I will take this opportunity to say how very beautiful your mother is and how much I appreciate how good she is to me in letting me step out with her wonderful daughter. Oh, and that I love it when your folks make fun of the way I talk.

mums reading posts.... mine does, then I get a phone call.... gawd!
Considering what I am writing about ( which is close to the bone a bit).. I am amazed at her response. And she is very computer able! Not bad for a 70 year old...

Merry Christmas Norfinn. ;o)

my boyfriend told me the other day that his parents sometimes read my blog....eeek! However, his parents don't speak english so that helps...at least I hope they don't speak english

M - pretty much everyone I know reads mine...or at least knows of it (including bf, see below). My parents were the final frontier.

Ross - Unfortunately your blazing attempt to butter up my mum and weasel my parent's inheritence will go unoticed since I'm pretty sure my mum can't find my blog, let alone figure out how to use the comments. But I will tell her you said that anyway. (Odd how my parents think you have the funny accent).

Carrie - That would be beyond freaky. But pretty much impossible (it takes her an hour to write a short email and even then I have to show her how to do it).

Sipwine - Thanks! Not sure why, but I'll take it!

Simon - I am in awe of the elderly who are computer literate. I wonder if my parents aren't because they are Scanidavian immigrants? That said, Finland is very tech-savvy.

Karina - Awww, I would hope she would be. Though I would rather she be proud of the other blog than the one that says I am wasting money on clothes and not doing schoolwork.

Indy - Yes to both. Although it wasn't about boobs so much as lack of them.

Pirate - Wanderlusting is a noun that describes me perfectly...as well as any other Sagitarian. I personally would love to see the East Coast.

Kass - hehe, I'll tell her that!

Kiwi - Thank God they don't speak English. Though maybe they are secretly taking lessons like Sun was doing in Lost. And maybe they have a blog of their own and they talk about you!! Quelle Domage!
