Been doing my usual writing for CoS too. Got to interview Liz Phair the other week which was sweet. She was just the nicest, coolest woman ever and I wished I could have hung out with her all day. We bonded over our love of ASOS... how cool is that? Interview should be published on the website soon :) She doesn't look 43 either, she's just one fab yummy mummy.
Other than that I've been preparing to get a job (my EI runs out in December), started a exercise and healthy eating routine (which started with a two-week detox) and am looking forward to an epic trip next month (my last hurrah before employment): road trip with my parents from Vancouver > Yakima > Boise > Salt Lake City > Laughlin > Palm Springs. Then I head to LA after Palm Springs to see Faith No More at the end of November. Twice. Happy times ahead.
OH and getting Halloween all ready, of course. I'm being Meg Griffin (not sexy, but it will sure be funny!), my boyfriend is going as Ash from Evil Dead and we're having a party :)
So I haven't been too much into the whole fashion focus, which happens, but I did bite the bullet and finally order that jacket I wanted from Modcloth.
Seriously, this jacket is AMAZING! It arrived a little wrinkled, but other than that, the cut is to die for, the fake leather is SO realistic you'd never know and it just goes with everything. I couldn't be happier with it!
In keeping with this fashion focus, I present to you an awesome new giveaway courtesy of DesignerApparel.com. I've done a giveaway through them before and they are AWESOME. Their website has gotten a new, sleek face lift too and you can find any labels from Cole Haan and Adrianna Papell, to smaller brands like Joan Vass . Also, they have an exclusive sale items only sister site MyPerfectSale.com for all the savvy shoppers out there - or just broke, unemployed people like me, lol. You can also sign up to receive e-mail alerts the moment your favorite designers’ items go on sale.
Designer Apparel's retail partners include Neiman Marcus, Shopbop, Bloomingdales, Bluefly, Zappos, Net-A-Porter, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom.
This giveaway is through their partnership with Net-A-Porter - these Giles & Brother's sterling silver wishbone earrings make a playful everyday accent. Wear these delicate charms to give any outfit a fun finish. For pierced ears. Retail price $65.
